God is moving in exciting ways at Joshua’s Place! Joshua’s Place is becoming well known in the communities we serve. So much so, surrounding school districts are taking notice and asking how Joshua’s Place can bring the ministry to their area. It is inspiring to see the Lord stretching and growing the ministry as we step back for Him to take the lead. Over 200 volunteers reaching communities for Christ one child and family at a time. There is a timeless quote that says “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he can eat for life.” The idea is an appropriate challenge for those of us called to the work of poverty alleviation. Joshua’s Place’s mission is to “… help families overcome the barriers in their life that cause instability.” It starts with not seeing people as “poor” or “not poor” but individuals on the same journey of life that we travel.
