Co-Op Town Hall & Appreciation Dinner
Last month we held a town hall and appreciation dinner for our Food Cooperative Coordinators. We have 40 Coordinators who meet personally with each Food Co-Op member bi-weekly at our four sites.
The Joshua’s Place Food Cooperative is a nationally recognized innovative approach to walking alongside families experiencing poverty. Members pay $5 and receive $60 in groceries at each visit, meet with a coordinator, and take one development course per membership year (i.e., financial literacy, parenting, health & wellness, etc.). The relationships built between our members and Coordinators are transformative and critical to the success of this program. |
